pretty much anything else besides Formula 1 is the future because of Sith Lord Bernie Fuckklestick being in charge of F1.

They need to run LMP cars in a Grand Prix style series and get away from the endurance racing. I would happily watch those races on the weekends. The endurance races are too time consuming.

But there's fewer of them. So in the end, it requires less time.

Yeah, but you need to build the audience. Nothing comes close to F1 except football (the European kind) on the audience numbers. It's booooring to watch a six, twelve, or twenty four hour race.

It's entertaining to watch a longer season with shorter individual events.

Well, it's called World Endurance Championship, not World Sprint Racing Championship, even if it is basically a sprint race that goes for six hour. That's not boring. It's awesome.

NASCAR is not the future of high tech racing, either.

That's because of the France family killing that like Fucknuts is killing F1.

You watch six-hour races?

Kinja'd!!!

I'd watch WEC races even if they were all 24 hours long.

I was going to say that the problem would be solved if NASCAR would affiliate to FIA.

Than I remembered that F1 is affiliated to FIA but that doesn't seem to help. Because money.

The relevance of the tech is indisputable. The cars are awesome. The racing is great. But the television coverage is just woeful. I'm all for watching WEC, but I'd like it on my T.V instead of a low quality stream.

Well, we need to tell that to sports networks. I don't need shitloads of NASCAR crap, before and after the actual race. Only to have highlights of the WEC race, 3 fucking days after the race.

Biggest problem we have here is V8 Supercars throwing their weight around to make sure they have our market monopolized. the Bathurst 12 hour was really starting to build a following, and a tv deal was penned for live coverage. The draw card were not only the cars, but many of the V8 grid would be there as well, giving a bit of a lift in audience interest. V8 supercars then announced a compulsory test day on the same weekend. It's practically killed the event. Fucking arseholes and their dead silhouette series. I love V8 supercars, but if they kill interest in racing in the country, they end up with no market at all, and nowhere to pull talent from.
